After extensive research and testing conducted on operational sites, several key filtering media of FERARRIUM were identified:
FERARRIUM F - effectively removes iron, reduces color, turbidity, and petroleum product content, and is capable of filtering phenol and phosphates;
FERARRIUM M - effectively removes iron and manganese, reduces color, turbidity, and petroleum product content, and is capable of filtering phenol and phosphates;
FERARRIUM C - designed to remove dissolved iron and manganese ions from water, as well as reduce water turbidity and color, particularly effective in cold northern water.
FERARRIUM F - effectively removes iron, reduces color, turbidity, and petroleum product content, and is capable of filtering phenol and phosphates;

Advantages of FERARRIUM filtering media
- Long service life - at least 10 years. Annual loss of filtering material is less than 2%
- Low bulk density and low backwash velocity allow significant savings on the extraction and preparation of wash water and its further disposal. In some cases, savings compared to sand filters reach up to 40%
- FERARRIUM can work with aeration and all types of oxidizers: ozone, sodium hypochlorite, potassium permanganate, etc.
- Starts working at pH ≥ 6.5
- Increases water pH by 0.5-1.5 units upon start-up, ensuring more effective iron removal;
- Does not form biofilm on the surface of the sorbent granules
- Has weak coagulating properties, effective for reducing residual aluminum concentrations
- Does not require chemical regeneration, simple backwashing with water is sufficient
- High dirt-holding capacity, allowing for extended periods between backwashes while guaranteeing water quality with iron content below 0.2 mg/l and minimal pressure drop
- Allows increasing the productivity of sand-loaded filters due to higher filtration rates
- Is not additionally treated with chemically active coatings based on manganese or other catalytically active metals, which eliminates the risk of failure when these surfaces are depleted or washed off
- Helps reduce operating costs when replacing quartz sand with FERARRIUM
- Can be used in non-pressurized filtration stations
HOW TO APPLY
FERARRIUM can be used in both homogeneous and multi-layer filtration systems. The combination of FERARRIUM F and FERARRIUM M in various proportions has proven to be highly effective.
